Hi there. Welcome to AFTER LIFE, a game based in the world of Severance! This post is meant to serve as a sort of meet and greet: a starting point for OOC chatter about which characters you may like to bring to the game, what your plans for them are, if your character needs a housemate, etc. Hopefully this will make the application process much easier! Hello, I'm just a gal who plays this One Guy. (Info post over here!) I don't know canon, I just heard it's the horrors of late capitalism and I wanna hang, so here's my bare bones thoughts:

Matt got somebody pregnant, oop.

His parents went, "We have all the money, so go be a productive citizen at Lumon (where we have vague financial interests) and never see them again and we will give you money for alimony."

His mother, Kennedy Jamison (perpetual board member, concerned citizen, and monogrammer), is under the impression that it might be possible to switch out her bisexual, unmarriageable, magical son for one with no magical powers and more importantly: no memories. Also like his dad is 1000% on board for this they're both terrible.

I don't know about employment ... a job more "true to him" would be like a gardener or florist or something just around town, but his parents would probably want him to work at Lumon.

I also don't know about rooming/housing situations, but totally open to Matt being assigned a family OR having a roomie. It'd be interesting if Matt was the one having the gay awakening for once rather than inspiring them in others rofl.

Any brainstorming thoughts, random ideas, episode or scene recommendations, would all be welcome!

re: his job i think it's fine for him to have a "normal" job in town and basically say the deal wrt his parents and lumon was that he's "working" for lumon by participating in this experiment?

ALSO i think i'd just recommend the pilot? it sets up the premise/world really well imo c:

the job setup sounds good! librarian ... grocery store clerk ... especially if it was a really fancy wellness-oriented grocery store. i'll consider.

ALSO I CAN'T BELIEVE i didn't think about "just watching one episode of the show," this is a terrific suggestion.

i think the one i added originally is pretty boilerplate idealized grocery store (“rog you can just go look at the location page that you wrote” okay and) but you’re right this town needs an erewhon
